Green Hill Cemetery, Washington, Litchfield County
Located: From intersection Rt 199 and Rt 47 in Washington, go north on Rt 47. The road splits into Rt 47/ Green Hill Rd. and Wykeham Rd. Bear left on Rt. 47. Turn right on Parsonage Ln. Turn left on the second driveway. It's the car park for the church by it's the best place to park for the cemetery.

Condition: Very well cared for
History and Notable Features: There are many prominent local people buried in this cemetery -- the Gunns, founders of many of the town facilities (Gunn Museum) and the Gunnery School, Fitch of Abercrombie & Fitch, several generals. For curiosity's sake, there's also two wives of one man buried together although he's not buried in the cemetery. And yes, there's a stone with a seal on it balancing the letter E.
